Hot, Hot Holiday

Jan 27, 2011 3 Comments by

After the recent spell of Artic style weather a holiday in the sun is a real treat.

Planning a holiday is fun and exciting but to avoid that ‘holiday from hell’, you do have to apply yourself.

When going abroad you now have to consider political unrest, terrorist plots, airline strikes, dodgy travel agencies and natural disasters. All of these can impact on your holiday and turn it into a nightmare.

To mitigate all the above, you have to be flexible and optimistic.

Consider two separate dates an at least two venues when planning your holiday. Not an easy task, especially if you have to book time off work and notify them well in advance.

Plan your holiday so you can switch dates and destinations before you finally decide on those few weeks away, then make a booking.

When you get there

Make sure you have more than enough funds to cover the entire holiday in case of an emergency and follow the usual playing away guidelines.

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.
