Premiership Managers League table

A teams position in the league is inextricably linked to the managers performance but some managers do a lot more for their team with less resources and money available to them. The table below shows how well some manager are doing.

# Manager Club Conclusion
1 Carlo Ancelloti Chelsea The best players, the best goalkeeper/defence, the best attackers, the
most balanced team in the Premiership- yet fighting to stay on top because the other teams won’t lay down!
2 Alex Ferguson Man Utd Massive experience and resources at this club but Is he ready to retire yet?
3 Owen Coyle Bolton The best Premier League manager based on resources available to him.
4 Arsene Wenger Arsenal Least improved manager in 5 years despite the club (business) doing well financially. Manager does not adjust well to changes in the Premiership style of play.
5 Roberto Mancini Man City The best team money can buy but sadly the manager is not a cut above.  Eventually the players will gel.
6 Harry Redknapp Tottenham Good blend of players make this a great team with lot of promise. Defence a bit suspect though.
7 Steve Bruce Sunderland Won’t give in to any team. Just needs a little more quality – coming through.
8 Tony Pulis Stoke Hard working, tough and gives 100%.  Makes up for lack of cash.
9 Chris Huhgton Newcastle Learning every game, better discipline could help this team progress. Some good players coming through.
10 Roy Hodgson Liverpool Just 2 games from being back in the hunt with the top dogs. Now accepting team he inherited!
11 Ian Holloway Blackpool Just relax and enjoy a cherished and enviable position. Calm down!!!!
Your players are responding to the challenge of playing in the premiership.
12 Sam Allardyce Blackburn A hard and wily manager who knows how to grind out results.
13 Alex McLeish Birmingham Feisty team with never say die attitude instilled by manager.
14 Gerard Houllier Aston Villa Just another manager – not a cut above the rest – punching well below his weight.
15 Roberto Di Matteo West Brom A young manager still learning on the job.
16 David Moyes Everton Seems preoccupied about whether players are leaving or staying – This could be hampering his team.
17 Mark Hughes Fulham Still smarting after being sacked by Manchester City.  May be too bitter to make good footballing decisions.
18 Roberto Di Matteo Wigan Better discipline could help this team to do move out of relegation.
19 Mick McCarthy Wolverhampton This team is up and down like a yoyo. To close to relegation for comfort.
20 Avram Grant West Ham Granted a few more games before final decision on his and clubs future.
A nice man but his demeanour can suck the life out of any team.

Just to put things in perspective everything else pales by comparison when you have a club manager who appears to be hanging on by his fingernails – I mean, how can anyone be confident?
