Football – The Premiership 25September

Just a few days ago pundits were all talking about Chelsea going the whole season without a defeat. Even Roberto Mancini believed it was possible! Or, maybe he was just playing with them before such an important game.

For the first time in ages Manchester City did everyone in the Premiership a favour. Now Chelsea looks human.

  • Manchester CityChelsea 0
  • Liverpool’s match against Sunderland reminded me of a recent match between England and Pakistan. Something about that goal. Liverpool needed a bit of luck for the sake of their fans and everyone at the club, and the referee obliged.

  • Liverpool 2  Sunderland 2
  • Arsenal have carried on where they left off last season. They look like championship contenders but just when they get a chance to surge ahead, they lose to a team they should normally get 3 points from.

It’s about time they got a goalkeeper from somewhere. It makes you wonder if they have a coach for their goalkeepers because they are always terrible.

  • West Brom 3  Arsenal 2
  • Everton are still struggling to find their form but they are usually slow starters. Must be something to do with their summer holidays.

  • Fulham 0   Everton 0
  • Surprising result of the day. Well done West Ham. Tottenham will bounce back.

  • West Ham 1  Tottenham 0
  • Other Results
  • Blackpool 1  Blackburn 2
    Birmingham 0 Wigan 0

Managers excuses about the number of player they have injured are so boring. They all have a squad of 25 players – some of them have 2 squads. So why don’t they just get on with it.
